Cort Guitar L200 ATV

Cort has introduced its ATV (Aged to Vintage) series of acoustic guitars, and the first model out of the blocks is the orchestra-sized L200ATV acoustic guitar.

The L200ATV is designed to recreate a ‘vintage tone,’ according to the South Korean company. To achieve that, the guitar’s solid Sitka spruce top underwent a torrefaction process that, Cort says, allows it to “open up more over time, resulting in the big, open tone of a decades-old acoustic, but delivered in a new instrument.”

But if you’re worried that the price for sounding like a billion won is a guitar that looks like it got smuggled through the DMZ—don’t. Besides the top wood, the L200ATV features pau ferro back and sides, a mahogany neck, and an ebony fretboard. White binding, dot inlays and a multi-ply ivory rosette are the other eye-catching appointments of the guitar.

The L200ATV retails for $549.99. For more information, check out cortguitars.com.
